Capture the Packet (CTP) is a hands-on network analysis and troubleshooting course designed to teach participants how to capture, inspect, and interpret network traffic. Using industry-standard packet analysis tools, learners will gain practical experience in identifying network issues, analyzing protocols, and understanding how data flows across modern networks.
Throughout the course, participants will work with real-world network captures and learn how to investigate connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, security incidents, and protocol behavior. The training combines theoretical knowledge with practical exercises to develop essential troubleshooting and analytical skills.
You don't need a lab environment; all you need is Wireshark, which is available for free download.
Participants should have a basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
Upon completion, participants will be able to confidently capture, analyze, and troubleshoot network traffic, making packet analysis an effective tool for network operations, security investigations, and performance optimization.
