I recertified my HCIE Datacom in December 2022. Since there were many new topics, I used the official training material from Huawei (see link below). However, with over 2800 pages, the material is very extensive and takes a lot of time to prepare.
My personal opinion on the HCIE Datacom Written:
Pos
- All answers to the questions are in the offical training material
- The questions can be answered well in the time available
- Passing Score 600/1000
- Questions can be marked and later looked at/answered again
Con
- Questions about specific Huawei tools (e.g. iMaster)
- Some questions about topics that you memorize only for the exam (e.g. port numbers, header field sizes, etc.)
- Less real routing&switching core topics questions
